I have always been a "acceptable run time, bright as possible" kind of guy. I can get new batteries at my desk, in my truck, at home, or out of my pocket if I plan ahead. Sure there are places
However, as the power outage of 2003 showed me, even though I did not experience it, that crisis would have been the perfect situation for a "dimmer yet longer running" light.
It would have been nice to go into "dim mode" and have your EDC light last for many more hours.
I still want my EDC light to be bright as possible most of the time, but it would have been nice to have the option to dim your light.
