I'm chasing a new flashlight for my old man. I have a Led Lenser M14 which he loves and would like to get but I thought I would check with the people on here to see if there are any better options before I bought one for him.
1) How would you prefer to purchase the light? I will be mail-ordering or buying online.
2) Budget: Less than the M14 (~130AUD).
3) Format: flashlight.
4) Flashlight-specific format/size: Every day carry small-medium under 8 inches.
5) Emitter/Light source:LED
6) Manufacturer: I want to buy a light from a traditional mass producing manufacturer that is ready to go out of the box.
7) What battery type do you want to use? Alkaline, nickle chemistry (rechargable) or lithium chemistry (rechargable) in AAA, AA, C or D.
8) How much genuine out the front (OTF) light do you want/need? ~200 Lumens.
9) Throw vs. Flood: Preferably adjustable beam like the M14 so 50-150 yards/meters.
10) Runtime: 60 minutes minimum.
11) Durability/Usage: Semi Important (Walks around the neighborhood very occasional camping).
12) Switch Type and location (choose all that apply): Doesn't matter.
13) User Interface (UI) and mode selection: Simple is good.
14)Material/Finish/Coating
