Finish on Aluminum Flashlights: HAIII Anodizing II Anodizing Ceramic?

Are there real major differences in HAIII or HAII finishes on flashlights over time.

I realize that HAIII is better than HAII, but how much noticeable is this difference over time? Does it wear down anyway on HAIII? Or does it take much much more time and stress/force?

How does a "weapons grade ceramic" finish compare for longevity and prevention of scratches?

Quite alot written here about anodizing if you do a little searching. I use the google search at the top of the screen quite often with good success. :grin2:

And yes, type III is much tougher than type II.

That's true. You have type II or type III, which is also called HA, or hard anodizing. Even the designation HAIII is not technically correct. They are two different names for the same thing, not part of the same name. As least as far as I have understood it. Hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong.
