Hi.
I am considering bidding on some EBAY items that are located in the UK. I have no experience with shipping from the UK to the USA. I do know that for small items, going the other direction it is cheapest to use 1st class airmail letter rate. How about going from the UK to USA? What is economical and reliable?
TIA

Ive shipped a few small items(mainly LS's and such) to the states by priority airmail. The typical cost for each of these was just under £4 for shipping to the conus and canada. This method also provides insurance and a tracking#.
One thing i have learnt is to state clearly to the post office clerk that you want it shipped as a parcel. This is quicker than letter post (and cheaper too) by a few days.

Always seem to get things in Global Priority Mail enevlopes from U.S. usually under a week.

U.K. equivalent of USPS is Royal Mail and Parcelforce for heavier items:

http://www.royalmail.com

There`s online pring by weight for surface and airmail, surface can be economic on run up to Christmas, moves faster then, as containers fill faster.

Otherwise usual courier companies Fed-Ex etc. are all here.
