Hi!

I'm looking for a new flashlight, and wonder if any lights have these features?

- About 15-25 Centimeters (10 Inches)

- Very good throw, i have tried the JetBeam RRT-1, good throw. Any betters? I hope so..

- Reflector based, NO aspherics.

- Flood isn't very important, but a nice feature.

- Either AA, CR123 or 18650 based.

- Under 230 $

- Something that impress my friends (OK, they are actually still pretty impressed with a Mini-Maglite, and even a Solitaire, so it not really necessary)

Something from Olight, Fenix, JB, Thrunite? or absolutely something else.

Thanks,
Mathias

I have tested the Catapult V2 and the RRT-1, and the RRT-1 had the best throw, but Catapult had a better combination of throw and flood. (Still most throw)

If a 2D Mag powered by 3 NiMH C cells is something you will consider, then a CBT-90 DD will net you 1500~2400 OTF with up to 98k lux at 1 meter.

The huge SR90 I got 1480ish OTF (1200 at 4min) and 95k lux at 1 meter.

If it has to be 18650 based then I have to think about it more.

Have you had a look at the products being produced at Lambdalights.

They are incredible things and the one I've got my eye seriously on is the VaraPower 1000 Special Edition. $190 for something will put a serious amount of light (1000 lumens) a very long way with that awsome switch is a bit of a bargain really. And you don't have to worry about mucking around with li-ions.

And what about Solarforce Skyline? Skyline I is pure thrower, Skyline II is very good throw still, but not as good as Skyline I. But nicer and smaller...

check the sticky I have here in the LED section.

The Skyline I and Skyline II make about 140ish real OTF lumens and throw reallly bad or not at all.

The Solarforce masterpiece did throw like 50k plus at 1m and made 200ish OtF lumens. The bezel is huge too.

Yes, Skyline I is underpowered. Too bad cause it has great beam pattern. Masterpiece Pro-1 is great, I love it on 2 x 18650.
