My first experiement was with a 2D Mag with a 13 ni-mh pack.
Then I did a 4D Mag Mod with 5 26500 batteries. Both of them were about the same brightness.
Now I want to try to at least double my brightness. I was really hoping to double my performance at least.
I saw this thread here and was interested in building something similar:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=278201

Although I don't know have resources to build a rocket switch mod or anything like that.
The other times I just bought an AW mag D switch.

Are there any other solution apart from rocket switch mod that can handle higher amps?

I was thinking of using using 18AAs in a my 6D maglite for 21Volts.
I was also considering using 18 14500 IMR but I don't know if that would just be downright dangerours or if any bulbs could handles 40+ volts.

Brightness wise I would like it be at least be in the ball park of the Lex Luthor hyperblaster from
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=177171

I don't really care for runtime.

I'm just greedy for more brightness.

Thanks guys,

Sucks you lost everything in your thread, hope you remember everything. :duh2: One thing I didnt mention to post before the all of this was you could also consider a Alan B regulator, however the waiting list is long as he doesn't produce these very often. But if you're not in a hurry for it this may be the way you want to go.
