4Sevens Maelstrom G5

Looking for lights that are comparable to the Maelstrom G5. I was wondering what other lights were in the same category as this one, as well as the best preforming lights of this category? Looking for a light like the Maelstrom or similar, was wondering if anybody had any advice on what other lights might be better in the same category? Looking for a wide beam as well so anything with a wide beam but still able to throw well would be great. Thanks!

"Same category" could mean many different things.

If you mean batteries, lots of lights take 2-CR123 or 1-18650 like this one.

If you mean throw, you could go to http://www.light-reviews.com/reviews.html and sort on Max Lux to see some lights with similar throw.

Also "better" is subjective, depends what characteristics you see as most important. Describe what you do/don't like about this light.

Also, by "wide beam" I think maybe you mean you want plenty of spill in addition to good throw - or do you mean that you want the hotspot of the central part of the thrown beam to be wide?

It would help if you described your planned uses for the light.
