A post by moedank in the Arc forum of a macro shot of 2 LSH-P's reminded me that I wanted to start a Macro thread here.
Everyone post some of your best Marco (closeup) Photos here.
They can be of anything, doesnt have to be lights.

Note: Please do not post the pics directly in the thread, link or thumbnail them. Thanks.

I will get us started with a few I took.

I'll try to take some others later.
Any request? I like a challenge. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

hey...Wingerr,

At first i saw Abe Lincoln. I showed the picture and a real penny to my brother and asked him,

"Hey! Did you know that the penny has a miniature Abe Lincoln in the back?"

Brother: "YEA! You didn't know? But doesn' that look like Abe turned around with his *** pointed at you?"

Me: "Oh...What the....this must be what Wingerr is talkin' about."

Wingerr, is that what you see? Abe Lincoln's butt?

Re: _^..^_ The Macro (closeup) Photo Thread !!!

OK, here's one that's not too good, but was at least
technically difficult.

This is a shot of a lit filimant in a flashlight bulb. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's another. This is a shot of a rare LL123
(forerunner of the FireFly by Doug Speck) by Larry
(tvodrd). This light is the same diameter as a CMG
Infinity, but considerably shorter. It has a Luxeon
run at 350MA from a single CR123 and modified NX05
optics.

Some nice photos above guys!

For some reason (no doubt talent and skill related) NONE of the flashlight photos I have tried even come up to the level of mediocre. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

This photo of an ancient Roman coin: Roman Imperial bronze "AE Folis" coin of the Emperor Maximianus (286-305 A.D.). The coin is about 30mm in its widest dimension.
is probably my best digital macro.
