Quark AA won't turn on reversed?

Hello, this is my first post!

I just got a 4Sevens Quark AA. It turns on when the clip points forward, but if I reverse the head and tail cap (so i can clip the light on my hat bill) the light no longer functions. Not at all. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks!

Did you turn the battery around as well as the head and tail?

Also make sure the tailcap is screwed on tight. The best electrical path from the - end of the battery to the rest of the light is through the end of the body tube and the inside ring of the tailcap, so they should be touching.
