Impressive, although I must admit that lights with so much power scare me a little bit. Just too much power for uninformed flashlight users and 13month old boys at home. I am actually unsure if I should really get a 285 lumen dropin for a SF6P or better not.

Cheers

I have a 11-month-old son myself. Any lights that are bright enough to harm his eyes (or in this particular case, skin) are locked away where he cannot get access to them.

Ahhh the joy of hotwires. Just a hint for future reference, the newsprint will go in flames much faster if you use darker print. :naughty: Nice build BTW

I didn't want to go to the expense and complication of a regulator.

I understand that the bulb is being underdriven, which is why I went for the 625 rather than the 623.

Vudoo: Yes, it will be there, for the 10 mins that it runs for before the batteries are flat!
