Re: My daughter left her keys out.....

My keychain has four keys, a house alarm remote, and a Valiant Concepts dangler. I carry plenty of other stuff, but it's all loose. I don't know how people can bear to have all that crap balled-up in the bottom of their pocket. Look at all those split rings! The added bulk from those alone would drive me nuts.

HOWEVER: Kudos to her for actually carrying a multi-tool and a flashlight.

Yeah! me too - no way I could carry all that in my pocket. But most females can carry quite a lot because they have the option of a purse.

i bought my wife the exact same light.

..she decided to slim down her keychain and took the light off, but it still rides in her purse.

i also carry the leatherman micra.

...and the freestyle.

same here. i managed to condense my keychain to just my house key, car key, car fob, tritium keychain, and neutral white fenix LOD. i too prefer to have all my other goodies loose in pockets.

If there is a car key in there, I see a new ignition switch in your daughters future.

Maybe something like a Spyderco Finch or Ladybug would make a good present?

It's not as heavy as you might think. Besides it's a Jeep(or as she calls it, her "YEEP") it can take it.....I hope.

Where is the pink leatherman?

Flashlight and knife on the keys, flashaholic dad, and drives a Jeep. Nice. Now on to the next important question: is she cute?

But seriously, it's great to see gifts of lights getting used. I've had it go both ways and it's a good feeling when you give a practical gift and it's appreciated.

I gave 7 ITP AAA lights as gifts last xmas. I know that at least 4 of them are on key chains and get regular use.

It's very satisfying to see.

I gave space pens for xmas one year and they were equally well received (although a pregnant wife confiscated one so she could do crossword puzzles in bed without having to sit up...he never got it back).
