I have a Fenix LD20 (lost my beloved olive L2D) and 4Sevens Quark AA. I use these for backpacking, with the Quark on my hat bill and the Fenix as an area lantern.

Recently I lost both my diffuser tip (looked like a wand) and the small folding one started to break. I contemplated using a piece of paper rolled into a tube to diffuse light, but that seemed fragile.

Then I had an epiphany. Use the clear flat cap of an ordinary water bottle. You can even make it snug with an o-ring inside, but I just set it on since the light is tail standing.

It works marvelously. Try it.

Cheers!

Welcome to CPF, Michael. Lots of ordinary household items can make good diffusers. Also, if you park your light on top of opaque plastic bottles you've got a nice lantern.
