I have been using the new dropins I got from Nailbender for about a week now. I got a sst-50 and mc-e p60.

Both are very high quality

I noticed that the mc-e does not loose as much output as the sst-50 does over time. It seems like it can hold the brightness for longer. I think the sst-50 does has a slight higher turn on, but after about 30 seconds its clear that the mc-e is the brighter one. Its as if it is less effected by the losses associated with heat.

And with the Op reflector, I barely notice the black spot in the center...

Are these results similar to what others have found?

I have two SST50, one 6500K DD and one 4500K regulated. My MC-E is a neutral white one (5B), so I can't really compare brightnesses, at the start the SST50 look surely brighter.

While you're right that the dark spot or the cross in the MC-E is barely noticeable with the OP reflector, the SST50 don't have one and I preffer their beam to the MC-E, even if they should be a tad not as bright...
