B/N R2 Cree 3mode 300Lumen Zoomable Flashlight headlamp
This headlamp is available from ITC store on ebay for 8.99. It has a cree R2 led. It is supposed to be focusable.
Any experience, thoughts?

The 300lumen focussable cree headtorches I see on ebay seem to be 3xAAA. most seem to use Cree XR-Es

3xAAA is hard to square with 300 lumens.

Unless running at over 1A with good heatsinking, R2 XR-E seems hard to square with 300 LED lumens, never mind 300 lumens OTF.

Runtime is likely to be poor, or output likely to decline rapidly from an initial figure that's likely well below 300lm, and quite possibly both.
