To the best of my knowledge this is the first CSM-360 LED Flashlight, and with a price of approximately $700.00(US) why not just by an HID Flashlight ?

first things that come to mind, you don't have the start up time of HID lights, multiple adjustable brightness, can be used for strobing, constant on-off is not a problem, etc.
