Yes, correct. Gene Malkoff is very conservative in his numbers. I got 8 hours off a 18650 in my M61WL.
So I would guess 2 x CR123 would run a long time until you need to change them, a lot longer than 5 hours.
So at least 5 hours of full brightness, followed by an eternity of dimming light.
