nice pair !
Did Don do the coating and the clip, or is it custom work ?

Lucky that I got Ti-XR19PD.
Good luck with your sale, EJJ.

I asked the same question in my PM and I believe the answer was not by Don?
E-J-J may have some trouble with his English but I have great respect for someone who is learning another language . I think Barbarian could completely answer who did the work? Good luck with your sale E-J-J:twothumbs I might come to my senses before that beautiful AlTin XR19-PD is sold

I do have one more question for bare Ti-xr19 PD in this thread.

Any one who knows well about McLux III history, please chime in.

Is the Ti tube match for this light? I thought the tube is a match for 6 flute Ti-PD. I'm curious and I'd like to know.

Re: WTS : McGizumo Ti XR19-PD Pair for sale

I am not sure if Don did the coating on the AlTiN PD for sale or not. I am waitng for a response to a PM.

This was the description of the light when I bought it:
A very special light, I don't know if there are more of those. It is a titanium XR19 head with the legendary beam profile and a Q4 LED on a PD pack with trit marker in the butt end. Never used, shelf queen stored in a plastic bag. The clip has a custom pattern and is also black as is the whole light, even the piston.
Condition: mint/near mint as received from the maker.

That last sentence leads me to believe that there is a possibilty that Don did the coating himself.

BTW, E-J-J is a fine gentleman and was a pleasure to deal with.

Thanks Barbarian,

I had a problem understanding E-J-J's PM. I thought you were the original owner? The light is absolutely beautiful and that clip looks like Dons work? I still haven't come to my senses about buying this beauty, but if its one of Dons creations?

No offense to the seller or anybody else.

Just pure curiosity. :)

Re: WTS : McGizumo Ti XR19-PD Pair for sale

octaf,

It looks like a match to me?

McLuxIII-Ti-Series

Initially those lights have been called the "mCree" lights because of their use of the Cree XR-E LED, but in the advent of other new Power LEDs like the Seoul P4 LED had to be renamed and are now part of the McLuxIII Series.

The McLuxIII-Ti-Series are sold in titanium only and sport the Cree XR-E and Seoul P4 LEDs. The offerings include a modular set of two heads (XR19 and XR27) and two bodies (PD and C) while using the venerable McLuxIII concept as a basis. For more info about those lights please refer to the FAQ and the McLuxIII-PD FAQ.

With the advent of the Seoul P4 LED sporting the same die as the Cree XR-E (the EZ1000), the XR27 head became the S27 head now using the Seoul P4 as this LED has a more lambertian beam pattern better suited for the McR-27L, similar to the Luxeon LEDs. Only very few of the Cree XR27 heads do exist.

This is from the McGizmo Product Overview :twothumbs

Re: WTS : McGizumo Ti XR19-PD Pair for sale

Thanks for the info, Todd.

But what I'm referring to is the extra two holes on the opposite side of the clip.

Those two extra holes I witnessed only on 6 flute Ti-PD, except Aluminum PD.

I could be wrong, and that's why I'm asking.
