First of all, welcome me.

I have been a long time lurker here and recently been brave enough to finally register and ask my very first CPF question.

Got a fenix TA21 as my very first real flashlight and very happy with it.

i would like to know what is the nominal working voltage on this baby since i'll be using spare 18650 LifePo4 batteries unprotected, they have 3.2-3.6 working voltage but can be drained up to 2V without problems, these are spare batteries from my airsoft since i'm moving to 26650 LifePo4.

will having lover voltage (3.4V most of the time) compared with 3.7-4.2V on Li-ion significantly lower the light output and overall efficiency?

i don't have Li-ions for now so i can't compare and i don't want to get them since i really have lots of those "better" LifePo's.

Any thoughts on this? And how does "regulations" works on this thing?

regards,
