Need advice for brightest edc flashlight (Maglite mini AA battery dimension)

Hi all,

as you guys advised me years ago for a perfect keychain flashlight, I would like to ask you again for your help.

At a point when it became possible for men to wear cross body bags on a daily basis, I'm thinking to buy a new flashlight in the typical Maglite Mini AA battery dimensions to carry it in my bag every day.

My requirements are as follows:
- Maglite mini (AA battery dimension)
- one of brightest flashlits available!
- waterproof or at least rain proof
- battery or reachargeable doesn't matter
- different brightness modes would be nice but not a requirement at all

At the moment I'm not into the flashlight thing anymore so I would like to know what are the current state of art options for my requirements.

I can't speak for the brightest, since most of the better 2xAA maglite sized lights are "bright enough" with modern emitters. If I had to recommend though, I'd say the 4sevens Quark Neutral white 2xAA (tactical UI) would be my first pick. It's what I'd buy if I were in the market for such a light. Meets your water resistance, multimodes, and brightness requirements. If you would prefer a "cool white" led with slightly higher output, they make those too.
