4AA Responder VS Tec 40

Hi all,

I'm curious how well the Responder compares against the Tec 40.

Both use PR based bulbs, have plastic bodies, and can run on rechargeable batteries, yes?

Would the Responder make a better light overall?

Beam with PT smooth reflector...'bout the same.
Beam with PT dimpled reflector...cleaner, wider.
PT40 will bend some NiMH AAs, Responder has springs...so no damage.
Responder maybe a little bigger, but not significantly (IMO).
Responder has nice tail switch (PT40 is "twist on").
Responder adjustable from flood to spot.

I've owned both...my pick would be the Responder.
Some others might have different opinions.

Some of the answer depends on your needs...?????

I got mine from BrightGuy, not sure about others.

I saw on brightguy that they have a replacement lamp for it, will other pr lamps work?

Yes, the Responder will work with any PR bulb.
