Is anyone using this with 2 X CR123s? If so, is the output at full power? What run-time are you getting? Does the output remain constant throughout, or does it taper off? Thanks in advance for any replies.

You will not get full power with just a single 18650. It needs 6V.

Jose he was asking about using 2 3V CR123a cells so he should get full power for a little while until the cells sag enough from the current draw.

I do. I tried 3 X CR123 and I couln't see any diff. On the other hand I've never used it for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

recDNA: How much run-time are you getting from the 2XCR123 setup? How is the regulation? Thanks!

Never ran it to empty and since I do short bursts I will never have any way to estimate. Batteries cost money so I don't intend to do a runtime test.
