Hey all, I've got a quark mini 123 that is skipping modes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for lubricant? I bought some silicone spray lube (dry lube) but it didn't fix the problem. Neither does WD-40.

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

I use silicone grease to lube my flashlights that I got from a dive shop. I think wd-40 is supposed to be bad for flashlights but I'm not positive.

Other people have had issues with mode skipping with the quark minis, you might just have a particularly sensitive one.

dont use wd-40, i use some grease i got from the MP on my mini and it works fine, cant remember the exact name but its in a lil white bottle the size of a coin if this helps

i would try cleaning the threads and contacts first then some vasline for the time being see if it improves ?

I'm not sure if the o-rings on the mini are silicone or rubber but vaseline is not good for rubber.

To clean, use a q tip with some rubbing alcohol. Then apply a lubricant. I have always been recommended silicone grease, but do a search there are a lot of threads on lubricants.
