Surefire V2 Vampire with PVS-14 ?????

Has anybody tried the V2 Vampire with there NVG setup?? If so how powerful is the IR Led ?? I have tried an RA lights IR led flashlight and it is excellent to use with my ITT PVS-14 but I really like the dual function of the Vampire and really considering it.Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't have a PVS-14 but I have the Jakks Pacific eyeclops nvg and the Modern Warfare 2 nvgs.

I have used them with my M962V (scout light with e-series Vampire head), FM35 IR filter w/ P60, and my SF Darpa DEF3C.

The DARPA def3c is just a ring of IR LEDs so only good for close illumination.

The fm35/p60 is on par with the VM2 head. Same amount of throw but obviously last much longer.

The RA lights IR is excellent and I believe it uses the same led as the Vampire. However what makes the V2 so cool is that I can use it as a regular light as well and have the option of IR use I dont carry PVS-14 with me everywhere I go but it sure makes since to have an all in one package.

Maybe Ill do a review with pics for you guys using the RA Lights IR and a Pinnacle PVS-14.
