Hi All,

Made a first post a few days ago but no sign of it!

Anyway, noob here with a few torches - Fenix TK11 R5 being the latest. Also gone a bit mad on bike lights - just got a 1800-2000 lumen one!

This is two of them on my bike on the car (BMW 335d Touring):

And the new bike light - 6 x XPG LEDs...

So what kind of light is that for your bike? I do some riding as well.

I'm new here as well but I'll give ya a big howdy anyways! :grin2:

Welcome to the General Flashlight Discussion forum. Not sure about your missing post, but you can continue here, unless your posts are specifically bicycle oriented. I recommend that you change your thread title.

Re: First post not appeared?!

Bill - nope, just general really.

Glad this post appeared okay though!

TX - it's called Luminous 601. 6 x XPG LEDs and a 14.4v 5.2mAh battery pack. Can provide info if needed - needless to say, it's very bright indeed!

Henk - nope, not xenons. For some reason, BMW think it's okay to fit halogens as standard on a £39k car! Has a few other options though - terra Dakota leather, panoramic sunroof and the 286bhp/428lbs-ft engine as standard

No real question - just saying hello really - hope that's okay?!

I changed the title of your thread, which was inappropriate for this forum.

I can see there is tight moderation on here...

Anyway my TK11 R5 went "dead" last night for no reason at all - loosened the back, tightened it again - nothing. And in the middle of some very dark forestry too! Luckily I have a small light on my mobile phone.

Got home, replaced the battery (18650) - all fine. Put the other battery back in - all fine.

Slightly shaken my confidence in it.

Any ideas anyone? The battery that was in it still had plenty of life left in it. Not sure about the twist idea to get the full 285 lumens either - seems a bit clumsy.

Otherwise impressed.

Here's a very hastily taken beam shot of the 601 just in case anyone's interested...

The are two other models on the bars too - neither of which are on in this shot!

It looks to me that the light has 7 led's not 6. Unless they keep one empty.

The 12 O'clock housing is empty - you can get a 701 with 7 LEDs but it's a serious battery muncher!

I get about three hours on full beam with a 5.2mAh 14.4v battery pack. Need to keep moving too or it gets hot.
