Multi-battery Fenix flashlights: polarity reverse danger

Hi everybody! This is my first post on CPF.

Fenix announced several multi-battery lights such as HP10, TK40, LD40, TK45. Firsh three use 4 AA batteries in series (and 4s2p in TKs), and TK45 - even 8 in series! Also, Fenix puts into flashlights drivers which can work at rather low voltage.
Let's look at TK20. It works normally with 2 AAs, but I tried only one with a spacer - it worked well too. 1.2 volts instead of 2.4!
If the driver in TK45 is as effective as in TK20, it can take, for example, 6V. It is less then 8*0.9=7.2V from 8 fully dischirged Ni-MHs - but it will continue working! The weakest battery will go in polarity reverse.

Is an issue mentioned above really occur in Fenixes with 4+ batteries in series? Owners (of TK45 especially), tell please. I want a powerful light, but this dilemma stops me.
