Been busy with big light & haven't done a cut-em-down lately, my hands are getting itchy.
Here is a tiny terror I just made:
Starts with the newest mini AA NW XPG R4, which has beautiful tint unlike the those green XPG R5 minis.
The XPG R5 version of the AA was measured 335 OTF by Big C when running Li-ion. So the XPG R4 should be just slightly below that.
I cut the AA into two pieces, then bore out one end, grind down the other, jointed them together & applied JB weld strategically, so the light is bonded tight but still conduct electricity.
I've done the Cut-em-downs enough time now, this one is done well,
It won;t be able to tell that the light was jointed if I hadn't just told you.
The end results is a light smaller, slimmer and lighter than Mini CR2,
just a hair taller than Orb raw, but slimmer & much lighter & brighter.
It runs on 14250 Li-ion, ~ 300 lumens on hi, still have the 3 levels.
It weight in at 1/2 of the Raw NS. I put a CMG infinity Clip on as I clipped it on baseball Cap & was using it as a headlight. No silly headband needed as seen in Zebra lights. It's tight, so two hand operation on twisting is needed.
$65 shipped. USA only.
Add $5 if you want the 14250 Li-ion to go with it.
It's the black one pictured between raw & Mini CR2.
Look mom, no silly headbands
