Sick or dead Preon

I have Titanium Preon 1 with no clicky. Recently I tried to turn it on and nothing. So I recharge the battery (NiMH). Nothing. I tried the battery in another light, it works. I am not aware that the light had any trauma.

Are there any tricks or suggestions. I don't have any electricial measurement tools. I have seen some lights that one can tighten some component and they get better. Is there some simple, non warrantee voiding action I can try before sending the light back?

I did clean the threads to see if that would help. Nothing.

Make sure both joints (head and tail) are tight.

Check and see if the spring is sitting correctly in the tailcap and didn't fall out.

OK tried both of those to no good result. I will contact 4sevens about replacing it.
