Streamlight TLR-1 w/ 18650 battery

Hey guys,

I just bought a Streamlight TLR-1 for my Glock 19 today. It take 2 CR123 batteries but I was wondering if anyone knows if it'll work with an 18650 battery.

18650 is way to big. Do you mean rcr 123's?

No...the 18650 will not fit in a TLR-1. The TLR-1 is only rated for primary CR123A batteries and they sit side-by-side in the battery compartment of the light. The 18650 is way too long and too wide in diameter to fit.

If you're talking about RCR123 batteries, that's a different story. I have a TLR-1, but have never tried rechargeables in it. Hope this helps.
