Now I am in search of a AAA rear clicky, mulitmode: L-M-H, pocket clip light.
Unless I missed one somewhere, I have narrowed it down to the
Preon I and the Lumapower Avenger GX.

What say guys?

FUNCTION:
3 levels brightness with digital control
From Low to Medium and High
Forward clicky switch (Half press to select output level and full press to lock it)
1 second Memory Lock
With twisty switch cap, tail stand capable in candle mode.
CIRCUIT:
High efficiency boost circuit, optimized with NiMH (the safest, economical battery chemistry using high value regular and Low Self Discharge rechargeable NiMH)
Supports input voltage from 0.9V to 3.3V
Digital reverse polarity protection
With best selected output level keep excellent balance between Output and Runtime.
OUTPUT and RUNTIME:
75 Lumens at High out which offers nearly 90 minutes with an AAA NiMH.
20 Lumens at Medium level with 3 Hours 40 minutes
4 Lumens at Low level with 15 hours.

I have both and I prefer the Avenger GX.

The surface finish of the Preon is very nice at the touch but you are always afraid of damaging it. Also it is too slippery if you have wet or oily hands.
The Avenger is a sturdy small light that takes a lot of punishment.
