While I don't have the funds now to get this, I'd like to pick up one of these in the future. They're very similar in physical design and I like the size (as opposed to the thin, long lights of similar output).

Commonalities include:

- Both take 4x123s or 2x18650s in a parallel setup

- Similar size and physical shape

- Both have magnetic ring controls

- Within $10 of each other

Sunway M40C Characteristics and Pros/Cons:

- tested at approx. 600 OTF lumens (lower output than M3C4-XPG)

- Tail clicky for a true off and allows you to turn on at a certain level

- Red and Blue LEDs (not really useful for me, but a unique feature)

- Reviews seem to indicate better mfg quality than M3C4

- No tailcap screw issues or potential tailcap damage like M3C4's plastic tailcap

- No strobe/SOS (I don't like nor use those)

- Can tailstand with tail clicky

Eagletac M3C4 3-XPG Characteristics and Pros:

- no tests I can find of the XPG version, but I assume around 700-800 OTF lumens so it's higher output

- Been out a bit longer so perhaps some issues worked out?

- Possibly more throw (though throw is not a big priority for me)

- Has poor tailcap screws so potential problems if I use the clicky tailcap, potential breakage with the plastic clicky tailcap

- Cannot tailstand with the clicky tailcap

- Must untwist head slightly to prevent draining batteries if not using tailcap

What are your opinions on these 2 lights compared? It'd be great for those who have both or tried both to comment on their findings. Which do you like more and why?
