OK, I got this very inexpensive 3xC host with a metal reflector.
I am a noob, so I did read all the old threads about the C lights. Not much out there. I would like to make it all AAA for more voltage and easy access to these cells. I can't find any tube holders to replace the 3xC into all AAA.
I can make a large or small heat sink like the mag drop-ins. Not as nice of course. I would like to get around 200-250 lumen s. If that is even possible.
Or I could just scrap it and wait until I find some other cost effective D host.
I am willing to spend money on a good LED and matched driver.
What might be some options?
