A very dark world.
I am interested in learning how to make slide shows that can be burned to CD or DVD. "QuickTime Pro" is a wonderfull product (it says so on their home page), but I do not know if the finished product can be burned for distribution.

Does anyone here make slide shows? Any tips on where to look for the best software?

TIA

If you have a Mac or access to one, I *really* like Keynote. iMovie makes half decent slideshows too.

If all you want to do is do slideshows of common graphics file types and don't need to sync music or other audio to them, or have them online on a webpage the freeware programs Infranview and LPJslideshow will do it very easily for you.

I did a few that would run online or locally and sync with audio on a free version from RealPlayer... It was kind of a hassle, and I don't know if that program is a freebie or even available any more.
