I already have a Twisty which is my favorite light, but have been thinking about a Clickie because everyone seems to love those as well. Once I heard a AA version was coming, I pretty much made up my mind to get one when available.
The current plan will be to get a high CRI version with both the 2xAA tube and a CR123 tube. The ability to use my stash of Eneloops for use around the house, night walks, etc is ideal for free lumens. If I need the smaller size for EDC or travel, a lithium primary 123 would fit the bill. This combo allows usage of batteries and chargers I already have, use common alkaline batteries in a pinch, adapt to the size needed for the task, etc. It should be a nearly ideal solution.
For others waiting for the AA version, will you be going with just the AA tube or the standard 123/EDC tube as well? It'd be interesting to know if the AA version will bring in buyers that wouldn't have ordered a 123 version, or if it will mainly be an additional option for the 123 users.
