As 2010 is coming to an end, I think it would be nice that we dedicate a thread for lights that we think it's BEST in our collection thus far. I will start.
Best massive output thrower: Olight SR90. $335. It's just so bright that it amaze me every time I turn it on. Excellent build quality too! It's the ultimate mass production LED light IMO.
Best High output thrower: Catapult V2. $135. Seriously build like a tank! Excellent finished! It looks beautiful too! Throws better than M2XC4 R2 Cool. Tint is kinda greenish but acceptable.
Best Mini thrower: D-mini VX ULtra w/ R2 and Turbo Head. Surreal thrower! Throw is only behind SR90. Get SST-50 Pill for bigger hot spot than R2 but still Catapult V2 level throw.
Best/Cheapest Single 18650: Skyray S-R5 on ebay. $17. Bright! 3.5 hour Runtime. Great build! More output than my PD30 R4, T100C2, and P20C2 R2. CHEAP!
Best/Smallest/Cheapest 18650: Trustfire TR-801. $12 on DX. 3+hour battery life. Small. Great build!
Best AAA/14500: ITP A3. $16. Super small. Bright for its size and great modes. Great build. Great as gift!
Best/Cheapest High output thrower. TrustFire TR-1200. $42 form bestofferbuy. Must buy from best offer buy as other store might have bad drivers. Brighter in throw and ceiling bounce than M2XC4 for $42! What eles can I say? Just add thermal paste around reflector to help keep the light cool.
Best Pocket Thrower: I NEED ONE for this category! May be Lumintop T15?!
