In the last week I discussed with the Olight customer service about the possibility to use 18650 batteries in the Olight SR50.
I own the SR90, this is a great flashlihght, I like it but its to big for the most situations, so I look at the SR50 because the same formfactor but smaller and lighter. But 6x 16340 is not a good idea imho and 6y CR123 are to expensive for regular use.
And now the good news:
because the operating voltage from 4,5-8,4Volt it is possible to use 2x 18650 batteries in series. And I got the info today, that they built a special carrier for this configuration and test it this week.
If all is ok, they will offer this carrier early next month.
