These were all captured from one page, I hope this is right topic.

(SOLD) Reflectored/Asperic SST-50 @ 7 amps. FS/FT

The first image is what my $100 point and shoot camera takes on
auto, i believe there is sooooooo much light reflecting off the wall its
confusing the camera very badly, because the actual hot-square on the
wall is MUCH smaller then the photo indicates.

I took a second photo just now to try and show the actual size of the
hot-square, by underexposing the picture (my $100 point and shoot has a
feature for manual mode and i stepped down the exposure as much as i
could, its daylight outside just like the 1st photo but it looks like
night

I think I have achieved what i wanted
smile.gif
by not buying my light you forced me to play with it, thank you.

I wont know for sure until i use it outside tonight, but i think i now have 95% of the lumens in the hot-square.

a stock mag reflector under the asperic lens seems to catch most of the output.

id like to try a different shape asperic lens to make the 'squarespot'
50% smaller, i wonder what type of lens would do it? (edit: no need to
change the aspheric, the beam is PERFECT for outdoor use the way it is)

i cant explain the difference in tint in photos.. different cameras ?

I'm selling this light (as with all of us I want funds for another project)

$150 shipped in the us.

or maybe trade for a powerful light that is ALL THROW and almost zero flood/spill.

I will ship international at buyers cost and risk.

Do you have the cells?

Interested in trading the light, cells and some cash for the 3" chrome head?

If you're selling the light, how are you going to try the chrome head on it?

Judging from the position of the emitter in the tube, it isn't going to
work with the big reflectors. They won't reach far enough into the tube
to get the emitter where it needs to be in the emitter. I tried this
with the Vara 2K, and the emitter is too deep in the tube. It seems the
Rebel reflector is the only thing which will work.

Send me an email, and we can discuss it all.

id like to see if i can turn this into a 1500 lumen laser type beam
(like my avatar pic) currently the beam profile reminds me more of my
old Malkoff M61, but 5 times as powerful.

if you think of an average city block, this light will illuminate CLEARLY everything (both sides of the street, and the whole length (200 feet?) of the block) if the street is completely dark

i want all hotspot, zero spill/flood and 1500 lumens
smile.gif

im having reasonable luck with some aspheric lenses i have laying
around, but understand aspherics cost lumens and would like to try a
killer throwy head reflector combo.

some people prefer a little flood, im ALL about hotspot for this light (i have other lights with spill/flood)

this sst-50 @ 7 amps definitely produces enough lumens, its just
concentrating the beam to a focal point about 100 feet away that im
trying to achieve, but looking at some of the other sst-50 beamshots on
cpf, from many different manufacturers,

im guessing it may be harder to do then easy?

Keep us posted. I too would like to get a light with some intense throw. I don't really care about spill.

yes and no, yes and no,

i dont want to light things up half a mile away,

i do want to melt things 100 feet away.

my ideal focal point is about 100 feet with a 10' diameter hotspot, no spill.

if i had a box full of BFLs, im sure i could do it

an extraordinary light, just not doing what 'I' want, 1500 lumens for 30 minutes in a 2xD size.

its kinda nuts. my camera just cant do it justice, i live in a cabin in
the woods, ZERO ambient light, this thing is a total light saber. Id
say the 'hot-square' is 10 feet wide at 100 foot, ALMOST EXACTLY what I
wanted, I wanted round, I have square, im not certain square isnt
actually better for a searchlight beam?

random shots of my house, dog etc
