I have a Surefire 9P that has a P60L lamp installed. When I ran the light with standard Surefire 123 batteries the light worked fine. It would be very bright for awhile, and then gently taper off until no useable light was present. I ran the light on one set of batteries for a very long time.
I recently bought and installed some AW rcr123's and now the light is acting weird. The runtime is dramatically decreased and the light will no longer gently taper off when the batteries get low. Instead it just shuts off completely. If I leave the light alone for 20-30 minutes it will switch back on and burn for another minute or so, then shut off completely again. What is going on?
