Help with a dead Arc AAA-P head

I have a dead Arc AAA-P head, and I don't know what's wrong. When I used it, the LED was dim, flickered, and then went off. So I followed the DIY instructions elsewhere, and tried to crimp the head, cleaned contacts, etc. and checked again. This time it came up dimmed and then continued dimming until it went off.



I will try some other things like proper crimping (as of now I just have a screw driver), and test again. If it does not work, any idea what can be done, apart from throwing it away? Any modders'?
