Hi all,

Was a very happy camper to get my Revo SS recently, however I think I have a wonky head. (LOL)

I first noticed an issue when white wall hunting, my beam profile was not a perfect circle, it seemed to have lumps and wobbles in it. Couldn't get a good pic of that. However it didn't bother me too much as it has no impact in real life usage.

Then I noticed this:

(note the incomplete fluting)

(again note that the bottom right of the head is missing fluting marks)

two of the fluted edges are not properly formed, one is incomplete, the other is very shallow.

Upon even closer inspection it looks like the whole head is a tad askew and possibly more oval shaped than circular. which could explain the bad machining on the fluted ridges.

I couldn't get a good picture of it, but it also looks like the edge which the lens rests against is of varying thickness too. (you can only really see that when you rotate the head) Which makes me doubt it's waterproofness.

I love 4sevens lights, but I'm a tad dispointed here.... am I being too fussy? has anyone else had funny fluting on their revo?
