I got my 6 month old SL4AA out today
and could not get it to come on.
I had not used it for about 2 months
and it worked fine when I last used
it. I put some foil in the bottom
of the battery compartment and it
came on, confirming that it must be
the switch. No way that I could see
to remove it and fix it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. So I'll be
sending it back to SL tomorrow.
Anybody else with Switch problems?

I've no problems with mine, either. I was looking at it to see how to remove the switch, but I couldn't see a way to get it out, though...

I just took a look inside mine with another flashlight (only a flashaholic would do this!), and found only the battery springs at the bottom of the barrel. The rubber switch cover didn't come off (I didn't want to rip it, so I didn't reef on it too hard) so I don't know what's under there.

I received mine in early April of this year, and haven't had any problems with the switch since I've had it.

I believe they have a life time warranty. Send it to Streamlight.

Well it has been 17 days since
I shipped my 4AA Led to Streamlight.
What should I consider a reasonable
turnaround time for waranty service?
Anyone have experience with them?

I think you've waited long enough. Especially if they were going to replace it.

I had a problem with mine and sent it back. After two weeks, I emailed them at [email protected]

The next day they advised that they were shipping it the same day.

I should have my new replacement by Monday or Tuesday.

Well I got my SL 4AA back a few
days ago. They said they replaced
the switch. Momentary on seems to
work much smoother now. Thanks
StreamLight!
