I just got in an X-Thrower in NW from shiningbeam and thought I'd post some pics compared to some mid-powered lights. I have the NW which is a little weaker, I'd estimate OTF lumens in the high 300s low 400s.
I like the X-Thrower, it's not as throwey as the name implies thanks to the OP reflector but it definitely achieves a decent throw with alot of lumens behind it. And the NW is very nice in the woods. The color temp of the SST in here is nice, its 4500k and a little less yellow than the Cree 5A tint, its very pleasant. The beam pattern is quite good. It puts out a hotspot larger than a typical R2 P60 drop-in but intensity is comparable or greater. The NW appears a little less intense than the bluer lights but really works where it counts.
Lights compared: Quark AA Tactical R5 on 14500, Quark AA2 Neutral R4, Lumens Factory R2 /w Shiningbeam perfect regulation 1Amp driver in Surefire C2 on 17670, KD Spear Clone with 1A driver and EZ900 R2, X-Thrower
