I also have Dereelight aspheric head but after 10 minutes at 6F (-14 C) Ni-MH cells in my camera were dead...

Predator 0.1lm, Nitecore D10 (14500), VB-16 U2SWOH, PD31

second picture again, just a little bit brighter (Predator is still barely noticeable)

phantom. Great beamshots. That Xtar Howitzer looks like it should be illegal! lol Anyway, in looking at the shots of the DX Aurora and PD31, your PD31 beam looks to be way smoother than mine. Did you get really lucky with your PD31 or did the camera somehow not show the beam rings? Here's a shot of my PD31 beam and I wasn't even 4m from the wall!
I actually started another thread inquiring if my PD31 was "abnormal" and so far the general consensus is "no". So I was just wondering if your PD31 was really that smooth, or did you somehow get a OP reflector instead of a smooth one? Thanks.

@erlon
Thanks.

@mrlysle

Here's mine:

Better bus still now very smooth. But you can see it on white wall only, it's completelu unnoticeable in real use.

Phantom23, thanks for the beamshot. Appreciate it. Yours looks better for sure, but still a "ringy beam". I ordered some diffusion film I hope is gonna take care of it for me. I'll post some before and after beamshots after I get it. Thanks again.

New season (summer) and new lights. But first control shot and three old ones for comparison:

Control

Armytek Predator

Jetbeam RRT-2 XP-G R4 3A mod

Fenix PD31

Sunwayman V20C (yes, 300lm in micro reflector in PD31 has as good throw as over 400lm in much bigger V20C)

Lumintop P16 NW

Skilhunt Defier X1

Skilhunt Defier X2

White balance is not very good, X1 ans X2 are not blueish at all (they have pure white or even slightly yellowish tint, V20C is cooler) while P16 isn't so much yellow.
