Define "shiny". Are we talking more a machined finish (e.g. McGizmos), or shiny as in polished shiny (e.g. titanium Quarks)? I'd vote for the former. Second place would be bead blasted, with polished shiny coming in last.

Patina can form on titanium?

I did'nt correctly expressed myself but I meant the kind of brushed finish that TI will develop over time from being scratched and manipulated. About real patina (natural oxidation), I think that with time TI can get a blue shade but can't confirm...

Machined finished for me, but its for practical reasons. I love shiny, but if you actually use the flashlight it will scratch. I'm tired of repeatedly buffing items so they maintain their shiny look. :)

I have a bead blasted finish one in my car and carry the polished ones in my pocket. Over time the polished ones show pocket wear but not excessive.
