first led mod on a Mag Solitare

I tried this combo for a retired Mag Solitare - Took the red led out of my IBM i/r mouse and put it in the solitare with 3 lr932's and a spacer (Thanks to Flashlight Reviews for the idea). Quite the little eyeball scorcher! I need to stop looking into the light as a test of brightness! ouch! Any ideas for the left over infrared chipset?

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif yeahhh that's cool. Show us some pics. About the infrared you won't have as much fun as visible wavelength LEDs but you can look at them through your videocam or digital cam, they can see the 'light'.

So you can use infrared emmiting diode to lightup a space, perhaps for stealth night photography. I am not sure where your infrared chipset come from but infrared diode are quite bright.

Some infrared detectors are built to be quite deceiving, they're packed in clear epoxy just like highbrightness LEDs so label them with a small marker at the base when you get them.
