Flashlight Enthusiast
Shrotly they will have sets of filters abailable to fit the bezel of the various models of flashlights, they are not inexpensive. In fact they are more money than a Surefire filter for the G2 or 8NX.
Cost is $36.00 for the red filter for the GL2 and GL3 and $40.00 for the GL4. The IR filter is a lot more money. For the price the filter should be made of optical glass not plastic.
LED emitters are going to be $24.50 ea. I could not get an answer on the maufature of the LED's themselves.
Additionaly, I have been told that the total warm up time of the new HID light will be about 10 seconds and it can be turned on/off/on in rapid succession without waiting for it to reach full power. They expect the bugs to be worked out and have CE approval in NO less than 6 months so it will probably be another year or so.
