Pairing reflectors to emitters is always a tricky balance,
something tells me the overall shape of the Maglite reflector could be good, very good for XM-Ls'
The older SSC emitters were decent in Mags,
so jump forward to XM-L..
What would be a good compromise of Amperage to runtime
