Hi All,
I've been all over CPF and the Web in general, looking for a comparison of these two lights.
Is there anyone who has both of these who can provide some comparison info?
e.g. Beamshots? Lux at 1 meter or 5 meters? Lux from ceiling bounce for both? Actual measured lumens OTF?
I bought the P-Rocket for its 700 lumens (emitter, ~500+ OTF) and was greatly underwhelmed by the output compared to my HDS 170T. It seems like it is outputting ~250 lumens after 2 minutes compared to the HDS (measured with light meter via ceiling bounce, lux is just over 2x what the HDS reads at 120lumen setting).
It seems like the VX ultra has higher output, but I'd rather not spend $100 to be disappointed again. It also seems like the VX might have a tighter hot spot.
