Alright,

So I've got a Quark mini 123 R5 edition. I like it, except the loose threads/unpredictable skipping of brightness levels annoys me.

I also have a Quark 123 tactical. Nice light, but no brighter than the mini, and it gets hot. Poor tradeoff for the size IMO.

I'm looking for a better EDC light. I think the RA lights are going to be too big. I'm considering the following:

Quark mini 123 S3 satin titanium

Quark mini XM-L

Surefire T1A Titan

1. Does anyone know if the Quark Mini 123 S3 titanium has the same issues with loose threads as the previous lights? What about the green tint?

2. Has anyone got their hands on an XM-L yet? Is it really a lot brighter than the R5 mini 123? Loose threads?

The Titan is appealing because of the reliable user interface, and the surefire name, but everyone says it is just too floody. Should I forget this light?

Anything else you can recommend that runs on CR123As, is very bright, has extended run times, and is very small and EDC friendly? Im looking for the best, which I realize is incredibly subjective.

Thanks!
