I'm transferring back to patrol next month and want to get my gear squared away. I'm running a Surefire M500 on my patrol rifle. While I like the switching options, the light output is unimpressive. Moreover, the light is heavy for the amount of lumens it provides.
Is anyone using a Surefire LED upgrade for the light system? It seems pretty spendy and won't reduce the weight, but it will allow me to keep the switching system. Any other suggestions? I've considered a Surefire X300.
