feedback on led lenser l7

hi there! as the title implies, i would like to ask for any feedback on LL L7. I'm thinking of getting one for my dad. he usually borrows my P7 so I thought of buying an L7 for him. He'll use it generally around the house and for occasional car repairs.



What is the main difference of L7 and P7?

what can you say about the build quality?

Is it true that L7 only has one mode?

Can eneloop batteries be used on L7 as well even though it is not recommended by LL?



Highly appreciate it if you actually have L7 and not something that you have just read cause I've probably read that as well. hehe (yea, i've been googling around for a couple of days now).

i only bought an l7 a few days ago.
apparently the p7 is metal

to me the lens cap of the l7 feels plastic like, and i'm not worried what will happen if i drop it.
also, the focus; you need to twist it, where as p7 just push and pull.

that's all i can comment for only playing with it for 2 days
